2015 Combe St-Jean Bourgogne Chardonnay

2015 Combe St-Jean Bourgogne Chardonnay

This Chardonnay from Burgundy, France features a subtle floral aroma with notes of fern and honeysuckle. On the nose, subtle floral scents with white fruit aromas like white peach open up to notes of wood and roasted coffee. With its nice aromatic freshness, this Chardonnay is rich and round. The finish is long and full thanks to the aging in French oak. Pale gold with green highlights, this wine boasts a lovely freshness.

Combe St-Jean

Combe St Jean is a tribute to those cold and narrow valleys which hollow the gentle limestone slopes of the best terroirs of Burgundy. The vineyards surrounding these combes often show the best conditions for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the two main grape varieties of Burgundy.

Traditional Burgundian vinification with a 2 to 3 day maceration period at cold temperature (13-14°C). Daily pumping-over and punching of the cap during the fermentation. After a 14-day maceration period, the wine is being racked off. 25% of the blend is aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.
